Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 14, 2026
babbie ("babbie", "we", "our", or "us") is a mobile app for parents and caregivers to track their baby's sleep, feeding, diapers, growth, temperature, and medications. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using babbie, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account data. Email address and an authentication token from Supabase Auth. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive only the basic profile information those providers return (name and email). If you use Sign in with Apple's "Hide My Email" feature, we receive Apple's relay email address and use it the same way we would any other email.
- Baby profile data. The information you enter about your child: name or nickname, date of birth, gender, and optional notes.
- Tracking logs. Sleep sessions, feeding sessions (breast, bottle, solids), diaper events, weight entries, temperature readings, and medication doses — including timestamps you provide.
- Purchase data. If you subscribe to babbie Premium, our subscription processor (RevenueCat) and the relevant app store (Apple or Google) receive your purchase, transaction identifiers, subscription status, and a pseudonymous device/installation identifier. We do not receive your payment card details.
- Advertising identifiers. The free tier of the app may show ads delivered by Google AdMob. On iOS, ads are non-personalized unless you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the Advertising Identifier / IDFA, when permitted), IP address, coarse location derived from IP, and ad interaction data, as described in Google's privacy policy.
- Device & diagnostic data. Crash reports and performance metrics via Sentry. These help us fix bugs and improve the app.
We do not ask for or collect: precise location, contacts, photos beyond what you explicitly attach, or any government identifiers.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the core features of the app — storing and displaying the logs you record.
- To compute daily and weekly summaries and normal-range checks against published WHO and AAP standards.
- To authenticate you, secure your account, and send essential service emails (email confirmation, password reset).
- To diagnose crashes and improve product quality.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your data. We share data only with the service providers we need to operate the app:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
- Sentry — crash reporting and performance diagnostics.
- RevenueCat — manages and validates auto-renewable subscriptions across Apple and Google billing.
- Google AdMob — serves advertising in the free tier of the app. See Google's "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services".
- Apple and Google — app distribution, sign-in (when you choose those providers), and in-app purchases.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety of users, or in connection with a corporate transaction (with notice to you).
4. Multi-caregiver sharing
If you invite a co-caregiver to a baby profile, the logs and summaries for that baby become visible to them. You control who is invited and can revoke access at any time from the app's settings.
5. Data retention & deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual logs at any time, and you can request deletion of your entire account and all associated baby and tracking data by emailing support@babbie.app. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule after deletion.
6. Children's privacy
babbie is designed for parents and caregivers, not for children. We do not knowingly collect data directly from anyone under the age of digital consent in their jurisdiction (13 in the United States under COPPA, 16 in much of the EU/UK unless a lower age is set by local law). The baby profile data in the app is entered by an adult on behalf of their child, and is treated as the personal data of the adult account holder.
7. Security
Data is transmitted over TLS and stored on Supabase with row-level security so that your records are only readable by you and the co-caregivers you invite. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Residents of California and similar jurisdictions: we do not "sell" personal information as that term is used in the CCPA. Contact us at support@babbie.app to exercise any of these rights.
9. International transfers
babbie's servers and sub-processors are located in the United States and the European Union. When you use the app from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in those regions, subject to appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses where required).
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. If changes are material we will give you notice in the app or by email. Continued use of babbie after an update means you accept the revised policy.
